the vacuum is a Eureka 167A which is similar to the 161A/D. The motor squeaks most of the time when it runs. It still works but the noise is loud. Motors of this type wear out by design much like a cheap fan. It is sad when the manufacturer expects the consumer to throw away their product rather than fix it. They often want the consumer to send it to them for repair so they can charge more money to fix it than it is worth.
