Question About Eureka Vacuum Cleaner 4704 type A
Belt...

I think the belt for my vacuum is either broken or has detached. I can't figure out how to open the bottom of the vacuum to fix it. Help!!

5 I just fixed mine - you have to remove the two screws that are holding the top colored cover down. Remove the screws, pry off the top plastic cover and then you can lift the roller bar out. Take the new belt and hook it around the metal pin (on the right side of the canister as you face the vacum) and then around the roller bar. Replace roller bar and plastic cover and replace screws and you're all set.

0 Mine is broken too - but I can't figure out how to fixe it - someone please help - the dog hair is winning!

0 Helpful answer, however, what type screw driver did you use? If I'm looking in the right place the fastening screws do not fit a flat head or a phillips.
