I have an Emerson digital thermostat 1F95EZ-0671. ...

I have an Emerson digital thermostat 1F95EZ-0671. We are going to experience icing weather and I want to switch it to aux heat so as to not have the outside unit run and have the blades and the unit itself ice up. How do I switch to aux heat? I have tried, but can't seem to make it happen.
