I git this new thermostat and the screen is always...

I git this new thermostat and the screen is always lighted; i was told i could get it not to be lighted. Please advise how to do this. in the instruction leaflet, it mentioned Cdl OFF ….. there is no diagram telling me where the Cdl button is ? Jean Marc
