My Electrolux Ambassador III vacuum is leaking a brownish fluid. The fluid looks like water except for the slight brown color. It has no odor & does not look like lubricant. Any ideas on what it is & how to fix. Also, I cannot figure out how to get inside the vac to further diagnose; no obvious way to open (no screws; etc.). Thanks

0 Electrolux, now Aerus, vacuums have no fluid inside to leak out. At some point water or some other liquid has been vacuumed up and is leaking out. The motor should have shorted out, but if it's still running, the vacuum needs to be taken to an authorized Aerus Electrolux store for a thorough cleaning. Only Aerus Electrolux service techs and franchise owners have access to the service manuals that show how to take it apart.
