I have an Electrolux canister I inherited from the '60's that has a cord jammed inside. I see the screws but the hinge for the hose adapter blocks one of them - how do I remove the hose adapter lid so I can get to the screw so I can open the unit and see if I can untangle the plug? I could not find a serial number but there were a slew of patent pending numbers inside the hose adapter lid (the piece on the right side of the photo). Thanks! Margaret
