How can i clean the filter? the front of the unit...

How can i clean the filter? the front of the unit doesn't snap or hinge off... Where is the model #... how can i tell how old this unit is?

0 After taking another look, got a screw driver and jimmyed the top front of the unit and was able to get the front off. Then able to remove the filter and wash it. Still would like a manual for it. The plate showing the model/serial numbers and other pertainent info is located inside on top. model # is AW905
