To clean the vacuum brush, first get a flathead screw driver and turn the safety screw from the locked to the unlocked position. Next to the safety screw you will see an indentation which covers another screw. This is for your finger. Stick your finger in the indentation (nail down) so that your nail goes under the tab that holds the safety screw. Flick your finger towards you and the brush will release allowing you to remove it from the vacuum head.
