Question About Dyson Vacuum Cleaner None

The cleanner has stopped sucking up dust. I have emptied it(!), replaced the filters. Could it be the belt? I have bought a new belt, but don't know how to fit it. I suffer from asthma, so can't poke about much, and yes, I have lost the manual. Any advice gratefully received. Thank you.
