Have just bought a berber wool loop pile carpet. The fitter used my DC04 dyson upright to Hoover after fitting although I did say I did not think this was suitable for this carpet. He rang his company who said this was fine. I have read up on this in the meantime and now know the beater candamage the loops, pulling a line in the worst case. Can I remove the beater bar and effectively use the dyson on this carpet.?
