Question About Ducane (HVAC) Heat Pump 2HP13
heat pump runs all the time...

bought a house and a new heat pump was installed . winter cold days heat pump runs all the time. and registers blowing luke warm heat. not to mention our electric bill sored. it is a ducane hvac 2hp13l36p-1b model. house size is approx. 3000 sq ft. is there some adjustment i can make to make it run more efficiently and not so often?

0 the heat pump in heating should produce 20-30 degree temp change, electric furnace should be about 30 degree change. If the temp fluxuate more than a few degrees then I would suspect the refrigerant charge was inadequate to begin with or is leaking out. If the unit has a warrenty on it call the contractor to make it run correctly. measure temp change at the air handler.
