Cottage has electric convection heaters. Main breaker is shut off when we are not there. On weekends when we go we turn the main breaker on and turn up the Dimplex double pole thermostats for heat unfortunately those thermostats do not make contact to activate heaters unless we hold the bimetal plates on the contact points. Why is this when some older thermostats do work in other rooms? Suggestions to overcome this problem?
