Question About Desa Indoor Fireplace None
logs,remote...

do they size it by the logs or the base ,i have to get new logs unit with the burner cuz my remote and receiver does not communication with each other anymore, i can only turn it on manualy ,the auto and flame control does not work ,and they want $300.00 for the remote and receiver if' that's the problem or it could be the gas valve remote which is $305.00,did anyone have the same problem . richard

0 My remote just stopped working as well recently. I can run it manually, but with no flame control it gets too hot for our room. Worked perfectly then just stopped. all new batteries and tried all solutions including checking the codes. Nothing works. I will buy a new fireplace by another mfg before I pay $300 to fix something that broke for no reason at all.

0 i did the same thing went and got a new log set , with a remote. i guess they make it to brake ,within the 3 year warranty,the only thing that was nice was the flame control.with this new one the flame stays at one level and works pretty good.went to lowes and got it on sale was 397.00 got it for 221.00year end prices. thanks for the replay rich

0 Desa actually just filed for chapter 11, but a distributor said you can just buy a remote for $117. If the receiver beeps when you put batt's in it, then it is usually OK. He also had a upgraded remote AND receiver that works for the 4 pin receivers for $128. 800-654-8534 is their phone number if anyone finds this and wants to call.

0 thank you for the info, glade to no that never buy desa again.if any one needs a remote ,i have that's i think it still works,but not the receiver , it does not beep like it use to ,but all the remote functions do show on it.if any one needs it throw me a price. thanks again richard
