Sometimes the thermostat does not function right; I will set the thermostat and the fireplace will not light. I have replaced the batteries and reset the remote. I have tried calling tech support, but the number will not go through-1-866-672-6040- I need to talk to someone to check the receiver to make sure the toggle switches are set right.
