Question About Craftsman Garage Door Opener None
reprogramming remote opener...

The garage door opener I have will not open my door. Other remotes will do it, so I know it's not the opener itself. Someone suggested reprogramming my remote, but I cannot find instructions. Help please?!

0 If the other remotes are installed in a vehile, check out www.homelink.com. This site provide a step-by-step process for programming those remote transmitters. For hand held remotes, you might check to see if the door opener can learn. Generally, this means pressing the "learn" button on the back of the door opener, then press the remote transmitter (press and hold for 2 seconds - you may may to repeat this press/hold/release until opener learn light becomes solid. Newer door openers use a rolling code for security which makes older (5+ year??) hand held and key pad remotes incompatible.
