Question About Craftsman Garage Door Opener 139.18778

Bought a house got the opener the wall mount works but they also gave me the remote that I could put on my visor but can't get it to work. Have new batteries in it and still can't figure it out does anyone know hot to program this or can anyone give me some insight into it. Thanks so much
