Question About Craftsman Garage Door Opener None

I recently bought a bank owned home with a Craftsman door opener. I don't have a manual and I cannot get the door to work at all. The remote doesn't work, I don't know the code or even how to recode it. I cannot afford to have a repair person come out to fix it. I'd rather do it myself. HELP!!
