I just installed a 1/2 HP, 315 MHz Craftsman. When...

I just installed a 1/2 HP, 315 MHz Craftsman. When I push the button it only opens about 4 in. and then closes, but once it touches the floor it opens again about 1 in. 1. Checked the reverse sensors. No lights blink and the sensor lights are steady green and yellow. 2. I adjusted the downward force to 1 and the upward force is set at 5.

0 Check your downward force. It might be set to low. Try little truns on the force and check your upward and downward adjustmentsset them out about 3/4's of the way. You might have to take off the end cover to see the worm gear. Then slowly adjusting them to get the right amount of travel.
