i have a 139.53664srt2 garge door opener that was manufactured in 1998. a remote broke and i am trying to use a new remote that is model 139.30498 but the remote with not "sinc" with my garage door opener. HELP :(

0 I looked up the manual already, any idea how to figure out if the newer remote will work on the older garage opener?
