Question About Craftsman Garage Door Opener 139.53335RST2
Door will not function...

I have a Sears Craftsman Door Opener, Model # 139.53335RST2 and when I press the remote or the wall mount button all I hear is a hummimg sound from the Unit with no movement of the chain. The sound last for no more than 3 seconds. Any Suggestions?

0 The gear inside is "chewed up". If you take your cover off it will probably look like snow. You can get a new one online for about $30. It is not that hard to replace. It is called the gear and sprocket assembly.
