Question About Craftsman Garage Door Opener 139.53315SR
Door opener self-reverses...

Craftsman Model 139.53515SR Motor will self-reverse after the trolley moves about 12 inches. Door is disconnected from the opener, so binding is not a problem. Wall push button also disconnected to eliminate possible short in the wiring. Travel controls have been adjusted to the max and min settings. Force adjustments have been varied, with no change in operation.

0 After months of fighting with mine, I found that the safety laser beam lenses were dirty and misaligned. Now every time it starts that I clean the lenses and realign them to read each other properly... which usually needs to be done every couple of months. Jim

0 Thanks, Jim. Mine is an older model that does not have the laser beam safety system. Any other suggestions?

0 Hmmm... no, sorry... the only ones I've had all had laser beams. Do you have a garage door installer/dealer near you whom you could ask? To my understanding almost all the different units all operate the about same and most by the same manufacturer. Jim
