Question About Craftsman Garage Door Opener None
Door does not open or close...

When using the wall mount control and the remote control, the motor just hums and does not turn the sprocket. There is nothing noticeable interfering with the operation.

0 The remotes work fine but the wall button does not work I tried touching the wires together but this did not help!!

0 I am having the same problem and i took off the casing for my opener and noticed white dust collecting in and around the motor. the motor is spinniing but the piece the turns the chain to open the garage is stripped. it is made of plastic. so an owners manual describing how to change out this part would resolve our problem, if the part exists. have you found an owners manual?

0 You'll have to order and replace the gear and sprocket. It's not too difficult. Just make sure you keep track of where all of the wires and bolts go. you can find kits online for about $35.
