I have a chamberlain 1/2 hp model 5100 it is 20 y...

I have a chamberlain 1/2 hp model 5100 it is 20 years old and I have not had any problems until now. I replaced the plastic drive gears the motor will not stop at the upper or lower limits I have to unplug the unit to prevent damage can it be repaired?
