Question About Vermont Casting Stove WOOD STOVE
temp drops to 200-250...

We have a vigilant installed when we built in 1981. I believe the imprint inside stove is 1979. this year we can't seem to hold a fire unless it is burning with doors open, or in updraft position. When handle is put in damper down position we drop temps to 200-300
