I bought a fireplace at a Canadian Home Depot 3 yrs ago - a CFM Products - Serial No. VWCTC6B - 36" electric fireplace. My heater/fan is making strange noise and am looking for a replacement part - 5000 BTUs. I cannot seem to find a replacement part since the part is produced by Vermont Castings and it appears this kind of fireplace was produced fo Home Depot alone and no parts is available. The part I am looking for doesn't have to be an identical match and a heater/fan to fit a 36" electical fireplace with a 5000 BTUs would suffice as I think I can make it fit. Any suggestions would be appreciated - where I can find it, cost, etc...
