My 36LDVT RP fireplace does not light the main bur...

My 36LDVT RP fireplace does not light the main burner even though the pilot stays on after I turn to ON position. Where is the ON/OFF switch and if I am to provide one, where do I hook it up? Where is the gas control valve or the electronic gas control valve? Thank you.
