Are you familiar with the CARRIER Gas Furnace: Model 58MVP100-F-1--20? Furnace turns on, starts heating up the house via forced hot air,but for only 1/2 hour at the most. Then the heat goes off, but now colder air is blowing into the house through the floor and wall registers. The fan motor is very noisy.
