how to get pilot light to ignite on cannon flame 5...

how to get pilot light to ignite on cannon flame 5 copper catagory 1N log fire G.C.no.32132 47 serial no.007807 B. When pressing in the control knob & pressing the peizo button, a good spark can be seen, but the pilot light will not ignite.
