14 year old Burnham oil fired boiler, model V-14a, with a Burner model AFG MP1192 and Honeywell controller, R4184D1027. I am being told that the controller may be bad and that there is no direct replacment listed with the pafts mfg. However it is currently hotwired with controller # R8184G4009, which when I searched, it came up as the replacement. Could we have an issue with the burner? Is replacing the controller and burner parts with labor more expensive than replacing the burner? Is there an efficient electric burner available for this boiler?
