clock resets...

the clock in my unit resets to midnight Sunday, arbitraily usually in the late afternoon. I think this is from a voltage spike caused by the power company swithching in extra capacity (I had this problem on an older programmable). I want to put a 30V varistor across the power leads but which two wires supply the operating power to the tsat?

0 I keep getting an Error Code 'E5" flashing alternately with the room temperature. What does the E5 code mean??
