I had to replace the gas valve on me furnace. I would like to know if when the pilot lite starts and the flame recognition works. Is the Sparker supposed to turn of or does it spark the whole time. If I remember correctly when the pilot comes on and the flame recognition see flame and calls for gas to the heating element I no longer here the sparker. I was told that it should run the whole time and that I don't hear because the flame covers the spark and masks the sound. Is this true or should the sparker turn off.
