I purchase a PE 770 Embroidery machine and working...

I purchase a PE 770 Embroidery machine and working on a embroidery project. The machine is giving me trouble, the upper thread is getting caught in the bobbin and jams the machine.. When I try to remove the hoop from the machine it is stuck to the bobbin, but with the upper thread attached. I am confused as to what is going on???
