THE ALARM HAD GONE OFF CONTINUOUSLY ALL DAY.. I DONT HAVE THE INSTRUCTIONS TO EXPLAIN WHY. IS IT CARBON MONOXIDE?

5 Mine did the same thing starting at 5 AM today. Called fire department to see about Carbon Monoxide, they came and tested. None found, but said since it was in the kitchen and by the laundry room it probably needed to be replaced due to lint, grease, and dirt build up which causes the sensor to not work correctly. They said replace every 2 years.
