WATER COMPANY SAID TO PULL OUT ROD AND CLEAN BUT THERE IS NONE ON TOP OF WATER HEATER. WATER SMELLS NEED TO CLEAN HEATER - - HOW?????? THANK YOU

0 According to the original manual, 238-35846-00S, the anode is the Hot ware outlet pipe. it says if you notice a smell it could be a reaction with your water and the magnesium anode and there are alternative anodes available.
