Pilot goes out and will not stay lit when button released....

Pilot goes out and will not stay lit when button released. Follow instructions printed on heater exactly. Problem is intermittent and landlord maintenance comes in when we are out to get it working again. Thanksgiving in 2 days and landlord said noboy will be out until after the holiday. We want at least a warm shower :-)
