Question About Bradford-White Corp Water Heater MITW40L6EN12
Carbon buildup and explosions in the burner area...

We woke up to cold water in the shower and discovered the water heater burner was not on but there were black smoke marks on the outside of the unit above the burner door. Pieces of black carbon were also blown out of the unit and on the floor. What to do? Right now it is unplugged until we dare restart it.
