installed new unit. when it turns on, the drive motor turns but the ignition is 15 seconds delayed. Is this correct?

0 Yes. The burner must first prove airflow through the unit before it fires. Once it determines that there is no flue obstruction and adequate combustion air, then the fuel valve will open and the igniter will fire.
