Question About Avalon Stoves Stove None

Stove has twice made pshoosh noise and burst into huge flames. Dark smoke pours out of the vent for hours. The time in process now the hopper lid is hot so I think the pellets might be burning. Littleton, MA Fireplace store where I bought it has not been able to help. I am very concerned. Can you help?
