Aux heat kicks on...red light comes on...heat shut...

Aux heat kicks on...red light comes on...heat shuts off completely! ! Manual doesnt help. Installers came and reprogrammed the upstairs one and now it works fine. Ore do i keep my heart from shutting off when aux heat comes on? ???
