0 My hot water heater stopped producing hot water on Sunday so I replaced the heating elements. We had extremely hot water for a short time, enough for 4 people to get baths and showers. Then the hot water went away. I was told that the thermostat would be the next thing to look at. The strange thing is that both of my water heaters (one upstairs and one downstairs) had this happen to them on the same day and have since had the same problem. Any ideas?
