Question About A.O. Smith Water Heater None
FPSH 40-260...

I have the same problem. The pilot lights; the flame burns and then poof...nothing. I was able to fix it for the last few weeks by finagling the thermostat until it stayed lit; but alas, it did not work this time. Any ideas? Also - is this model no longer available? And what is the "generic" name for it? Pro-Max?

5 I recently had this issue with 270 model. No idea if it is the same. fount fix here see URL Text reads: post 6 remove bottom panel - remove part shown with small stubby philips. use some sandpaper to clean off. re-install - mine worked great after.
