Okay I can access the parts list as well as the spec sheet, but what I really need to know is should I place a bead of plumbers putty around the nylon gasket between the sink and base plate of faucet? AND does it make any difference if the nylon gasket is on right to left or left to right? I know the nubs on the bottom go "through" the sink, but want to know if it makes a difference if the nub is on the left side or right side.
