Question About Amana Air Conditioner None
unit coming on when it is turned off...

It is cold here - 12 degrees. The unit started blowing air when it was turned off. It had a FR on the display (freezing?). I turned it on, put it on heat, put the temp at 62 and it is cycling in and out happily. However, we really did not want to use it for a heat source, it is noisy in the bedroom. Will it only be happy if we keep it active?
