0 i got a generic universal ac remote (chunghop k-1028e) and it works fine.i used parts from a broken one for mine but i also found adapting parts at lowes in the floor vent section that work...i already had the manual

0 for that particular remote that i have (4$ on ebay) the code for our amana unit is 878 for proramming the remote
