I am trying to use the self clean on my oven As I face...

I am trying to use the self clean on my oven. As I face the stove, I turn the knob on the left to clean; the light comes on and you can hear the door lock. There is no marking on the left as to where to set the temperature for clean. Just turning the knob on the left does not start the cleaning process.
