Product Problem: Hot handle

When I Vacuum my home I use a vacuum for my hard wood and the Eureka 5892 for tha rugs. This was the plan when I bought the vacuum in 2007. However, the handle gets so hot that I cannot hold it ,and I was wondering how to get the company to take it back.

Latest post, made on 2009-11-04 19:49:59
I have had a 5893 for just over 1 year. The handle was getting hotter with each use. Finally, the wires around the switch melted and now the vacuum won't work. Is the switch bad? Nothing else appears to be wrong.
