Product Tip: Craftsman soft key keypad 315

The keypad is poorly designed and it is very difficult to push in the keys in order to open the garage door. I complained to Sears about this problem and asked if there was another keypad with tactile keys available. They said there wasn't a different replacement available. Is there anyone that may have a solution to this problem?

The above appears to me to be the model number and nothing comes close to it on this web site. I am trying to change the code on the outside garage key pad and am having trouble. Would directions on another model # Craftsman 1/2 h.p. work?

I have to change the code on my opener. There is a push button keyboard out side the garage and you have to put in 4 numbers to open it. The reason I want to change it is because it goes up and down at varioues times by itself or someone near by has the sae code.

My garage door has suddenly stopped closing all the way. I ajusted the chain and it closed OK for about 4 days and then started short of stopping again. I fixed again and then it when to not opening all the way. Stuck with a problem.

Something seems stripped. As soon as there is a little resistance it just stops and seems to skip and stay in place. When door is disconnected from the chain, it works - but not with the door ...

Actually this is a screw drive machine. There is a latching system that holds the door to the screw. By design, this has a softer metal than the screw and will wear out after a number of years, depending on usage. It is a simple replacement part that can be installed in five minutes to get the door operating again. The part is in the manual, let me know if you need more help.

HI there I asking regarding my garage door I have installed it and everything is fine but the problem is that i cant programe it. The limits of the opener arent properly set.I think they have been done automatically,when Im trying to fix it but i cant. because when im presing buttons to open and close they dont have limits the trolley it dosnt stop at all. Can You help me please to fix it because i cant use it at all im leaving my car outside.

I can't get the unit to set limits. having set the door height I want, when pressing the remote to 'confirm' instead of closing and re-opening, it justs carrys on opening! Help
