8. Open the z_pper.

9. Lower the presser foot and stitch
the rest of the seam.

10. Close the zlpper and turn the
fabric right side up.
INVISIBLE ZIPPER AND CORDING
I INVISIBLE ZIPPER
Adjust the foot so the needle is sewing through
the center hole ot the toot and one groove ot
the toot is riding on the teeth of the z_pper as
shown, Follow the zipper manufacturer's rest*
ructions. After zipper has been inserted, fimsh
sewing seam by shifting toot to side poslt_on
sewing through side notch.
CORDING
Foot can also be used to make cording for slip-
covers etc, Cover a cord with a str_p of b_as
fabric and sew as shown,
NOTE:
Use "Low Bar Sewing Machine ZtPPER FOOT'"
(6757} for '*invisible zipper" and *'cording",
which can be obtained at any Sears retail store.
11. To sew the right side of the zip-
per, set the zipper foot on the
right side of the needle.
12. Stitch across and below the bot-
tom of the zipper.
13. Turn the corner and continue to
guide the foot along the z_pper
teeth, as shown.
Stitch through the fabric and
z_pper tape.

t4. Stop about 2" from the top of the
zipper.
15. Lower the needle into the fabric
and raise the presser foot.
16. Remove the basting stitches and
open the zipper.
17. Lower the foot and stitch the rest
of the seam. Make sure the fold is
eyeD.
