With the stitch length at "4", sew
straght stitching lines 3/8" apart
across the area to be smocked.
Knot the threads along one edge. Pull
the bobbin threads and distribute the
gathers evenly, Secure the threads at
the other end. Sew the decorative
stitch between the gathenng stitches,
Pull out the gathering stitches,
NOTE: Loosen the top thread
tension to make gathering
easier.
