Locatethecalculatedequivalentfeetofpipeon
theverticalleftsideofthechart.Movetothe
righthorizontallyonthechartuntilyoureach
youraltitudeabovesealevel.
Ifyoufallbelowthediagonalline,3or4inch(76
to102mm)pipemaybeused.Ifitisanywhere
abovethediagonalline,a4inch(102mm)diam-
eterpipeisrequired.
Thechartrevealsthata90°elbowis5timesas
restrictivetotheowof exhaustgasesunder
positivepressureas1footofhorizontalpipe,and
afootofhorizontalpipeistwiceasrestrictiveas
afootofverticalpipe.
